Hosting a Private Holiday Gathering with Cannabis

The Fire Station Cannabis Company Holiday Catalog 2023

Let the holidays begin!

The holiday season is upon us, and it’s time to add a unique twist to your festivities. If you’re looking to create a truly memorable and distinctive celebration, consider hosting a private holiday gathering centered on cannabis. It’s a way to infuse extra joy, relaxation, and a touch of creativity into your gathering.

In this article, we’ll take you through the steps of throwing a “Dank the Halls” party that combines the holiday spirit with the pleasures of cannabis, all while ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for your guests.

Setting the stage for a memorable celebration

Choosing the right setting is crucial for your cannabis-infused holiday party. Opt for a cozy and comfortable space such as your home or a licensed designated consumption establishment. Create an inviting ambiance with holiday decorations and soft lighting to set the mood.

Be upfront about your party’s theme in the invitations, and be sure to only invite guests who are 21+. Clearly communicate that it’s a cannabis-friendly gathering where guests should consume responsibly and at their own risk. Encourage them to bring their favorite strains or edibles to share, and come prepared with a plan on how to return home safely, either by means of a designated driver, taxi or rideshare service.

Curating the cannabis experience

It is best to provide products that were purchased at a licensed marijuana retail establishment so you know the products contain dosing and serving size information, and have been tested in accordance with state requirements. Be mindful of medical versus recreational products, as some medical products can be much more potent.

Stock your cannabis bar with a selection of strains that cater to different preferences. Include indicas, sativas, and hybrids, and provide information on each strain’s effects to help guests make informed choices.

Set up a rolling station with all the essentials – papers, filters, grinders, and trays. If some guests are new to rolling, designate a “joint-rolling mentor” to assist.

Offer a range of cannabis-infused edibles, from gummies to chocolates. Ensure dosages are clearly labeled, and provide guidelines on consumption. Have non-infused snacks available to balance the munchies.

Set up designated areas for vaping and smoking to accommodate various consumption preferences. Ensure proper ventilation and offer smoking accessories for guests to use.

Activities to do with your guests

Kick off your party witha musical twist. Create a playlist of holiday classics and encourage your guests to sing along. To add a cannabis element, have a designated “joint conductor” who takes a hit before leading each carol.

Set up a craft station where guests can decorate ornaments. Provide paint, glitter, and other craft supplies. To incorporate cannabis, offer a “puff and paint” corner where guests can get creative after a toke.

Bust out your favorite puzzle and see how long it takes your group to complete, or break into teams and compete at your favorite game.

Test your guests’ cannabis knowledge with a trivia game. Prepare questions about strains, cannabinoids, and the history of cannabis. Offer small cannabis-themed prizes for correct answers.

Food and beverages to serve to your guests

Curate a delectable menu of both savory and sweet snacks. Consider finger foods like sliders, nachos, and an array of dips and chips. Don’t forget to include fresh fruit and veggies for a healthier option.

Delight your guests with cannabis-infused desserts, such as brownies, cookies, and truffles. Clearly label these treats with dosages, and encourage moderation.

Complement the munchies with a well-stocked beverage bar. Offer an assortment of drinks, including THC-infused mocktails along with non infused options. Ensure that THC levels are clearly indicated.

Encouraging responsible consumption

Appoint a responsible friend as the “budtender” to help guests choose appropriate strains and dosages. They can also monitor consumption to ensure everyone stays safe.

Encourage guests to appoint a designated driver, so after the festivities conclude, they can get home safely and responsibly. Rideshare services and taxis are also great options to get your guests home safely!

Cheers to a high-spirited holiday season!
