On the morning of February 5th, one of our staff members, Alison Thomma, lost her home to a fire. The house burned to the ground, leaving no belongings behind. Alison, her daughter, husband, and two dogs were able to make it out with minimal injuries. She has a place to stay for now, but she is in need of everything, as nothing from the home was salvageable.
We are partnering with the Up North Lodge to host a fundraiser for her family on March 11.
The Forsyth Fire Department has graciously donated a spaghetti dinner and the Up North Lodge has generously donated their new event space.
We are asking for donations in the form of baskets, gift certificates, giveaways, experiences, etc. to use as silent auction items for the fundraiser.
If you would like to make a donation, we can arrange a pick up or you can drop it off any day between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. at the following TFS locations:
TFS Marquette
351 W. Washington St.
TFS Negaunee
162 Heritage Drive
We are asking that all donations be made before 3/1/22.
Coming together as a community is what gets us through these difficult times. We greatly appreciate your consideration.
Warmly,
The Fire Station
