The Fire Station Cannabis Co. (TFS) was named the fifth Best Cannabis Company to Work For (Retailer) by the Best Companies Group and Cannabis Business Times. The Fire Station was the only Michigan retailer listed among the eight 2023 award winners.
Best Companies compiled its nationwide rankings based on employee feedback. Seventy five percent of The Fire Station’s score came from anonymous employee questionnaires about important areas such as communication, pay and benefits, and training and development. Staff members from the companies ranked on the Best Companies list indicated that their leaders support, inspire, motivate and engage them.
Cannabis Business Times notes that, “on average, businesses that ranked on the ‘Best Companies’ list scored 89% in employee satisfaction across all categories, compared to 67% for employers that did not make the list.”
Building a team of empowered, hardworking employees is at the heart of The Fire Station’s culture and has been integral to the company’s employee satisfaction rate.
An employer questionnaire made up the remaining 25% of a company’s score. Responses were processed and rankings were determined by the Best Companies Group, a third party research company that specializes in identifying great places to work.
