“I started noticing hip and joint issues in my dog when she turned 8.”
Colbie is a 9.5 year old Chow/German Shepard Mix. I tried a variety of different supplements to help her, most of which were in hard pill form, but I didn’t see very much improvement and she wasn’t a fan of taking them either.
After even short walks, Colbie would come back home stiff in her hips and legs. Following a consistent regime of CBD soft chews that I get from The Fire Station, she can go for longer walks now and does not limp or show discomfort. I had much more success in getting her to take this supplement because it’s in gummy form and she eats it as a treat!
The staff at The Fire Station have always been very helpful and inviting. I had never been to the store before so I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect and I wasn’t positive that they even had something that would help my dog. On my first visit, the budtender thoroughly explained the variety of products they had for dogs and I left feeling satisfied, educated and extremely impressed.
Seeing my dog enjoy walks like her younger self absolutely sold me on these supplements, and with my positive experience at The Fire Station, there is no doubt that Colbie will be a loyal CBD customer for life.

Frequently asked questions:
According to the American Kennel Club, the worst CBD has been documented to do is cause diarrhea and changes in some liver enzyme values after several weeks. However, please keep in mind that it is always recommended that you consult with a veterinarian before giving your pet CBD.
The American Kennel Club states, “Research with dogs is still scarce, but there’s a huge body of research (about 23,000 published papers!) looking at CBD’s effect on laboratory animals and humans, with encouraging results for pain, especially arthritic pain, itchiness, anxiety, and cancer, all of which have at least one canine study as well. The results in dogs? It depends.” Read more here.
