Our story began with medical cannabis.
The Fire Station opened for medical sales in October of 2019 and became the first medical marijuana provisioning center in Marquette County. Our small team was overwhelmingly happy to meet and serve patients and caregivers that traveled long distances to gain access to safe, high-quality products. As we celebrate two years of medical sales, we look back on the history of Michigan medical marijuana:
Through the Michigan Compassionate Care Initiative, the Michigan Medical Marihuana Act was approved by Michigan voters in 2008, which allowed the medical use of marihuana for registered patients and caregivers through the Michigan Medical Marijuana Program (MMMP). This state registry program is regulated by the Marijuana Regulatory Agency (MRA). Fast-forward to 2018, the MMMP cleared the way for the legalization of adult-use/recreational marijuana sales.
Fun fact: Michigan was the thirteenth state, and first midwestern state to legalize medical marijuana!
To show our love and appreciation for our medical patients, we’re offering 20% off all medical products now through Thursday, October 21st. We wouldn’t be here without the support of medical marijuana patients and caregivers! We thank you for placing your trust in us.
