Stosh was born and raised in Marquette, Michigan. He attended Northern Michigan University and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance in 2012. During his time as a senior, he opened Northern Hydroponics in Marquette, one of his biggest accomplishments (aside from owning and operating TFS)!
Stosh married his wife Erin shortly after, living happily with their dogchild Nala! In fact, Stosh’s all time favorite animal is Nala. He loves the UP for many reasons, with the top being that it is his childhood home, where all of the people, friends, and family that he loves are located. It is a beautiful landscape with the best fishing opportunities, something he loves to do! Although the winters are tough, summers make it worth it.
We asked Stosh a series of random questions. Here are his responses:
Do you have a nickname?
My close friend and family have always called me Stoshu
What is your favorite restaurant?
The Lagniappe and Border Grill
Do you have a favorite food or dessert?
I like Thai food, Indian food, and ICE CREAM!
What is your favorite color?
Navy blue
Do you have a favorite vacation destination?
Bali was amazing. Hawaii was well – many people say Hawaii is overrated, but it totally is not
What is your favorite sport?
Golf
What is a hobby you enjoy?
Golfing and fishing
Do you have a favorite genre of music?
I like most genres, but probably hip hop!
If you could be any animal, what would you be?
Something in the sea, probably an Orca
If we all had superpowers, what would yours be?
I would want to have the power to regenerate/heal!
What is a future goal of yours?
I want to continue to expand TFS and create accessibility for our brand into every major municipality in the UP. I also want to expand businesses outside of TFS and move into other industries.
What is one crazy thing that happened to you?
The first plane ride I ever experienced was the same plane ride I jumped out of for a skydiving trip!
What is one generous/courageous thing that you did?
Luke Collins and I were on Little Presque Isle during inclement weather. We saw a couple who attempted to swim and were actually struggling and drowning, they obviously were not locals and they did not understand how the waters work in the UP! We jumped in the water to save them (exactly what you are not supposed to do), and ended up pulling both out of the water safely.
What is one thing you want to experience?
I want to travel to Thailand and India. It would be awesome to experience the islands in South Thailand and Bangkok!
Are you a winter, summer, or fall kind of person?
Summer for sure.
Do you prefer a rainy day or sunny day?
A sunny summer day, with a prime temperature of 68 degrees.
Do you have any talents?
Stosh had no comment, but there is still room for growth here.
