IRON RIVER, MICH. | APRIL 6, 2022 – The Fire Station Cannabis Co. opened its seventh storefront in Iron River, Mich. on Wednesday, April 6, 2022.
Located at 231 N. 4th Ave., TFS Iron River will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week. The store is currently open for in-store shopping only, though curbside pick up is expected in the coming weeks.
To commemorate the location’s grand opening, a ribbon cutting ceremony will take place in conjunction with the Iron County Chamber of Commerce on Monday, April 11 at 2 p.m. inside the store’s reception area. The media are welcome to attend.
“Our friendly, knowledgeable staff are eager to welcome the people of Iron River into our store,” shared Alicia Korcal, store general manager. “We’ve been planning for this day for months, and we can’t wait to assist customers with all of their cannabis questions and needs.”
Due to construction delays, portions of the building including exterior siding are still underway. TFS anticipates these to be completed by the end of the month.
All shoppers will enjoy 20 percent off all products in the store through Monday, April 18, 2022.

Iron River is a beautiful Upper Peninsula location, filled with numerous recreational activities.
Hiking and Biking
Visitors can take walk or bike down the 2.5+ mile Apple Blossom Trail that connects the towns of Iron River and Caspian. According to the Iron County Chamber of Commerce, the trail was once the rail line that served one of the most productive mining regions in the country. In addition to the beautiful scenery you’ll encounter as you follow the Iron River on the trail, you’ll also pass the historic Caspian Mine shaft.
The Apple Blossom Trail turns into the Iron County Heritage Trail, a 6.8+ mile paved path.

Fishing and Water Sports
Iron County is home to over 250 inland lakes and over 200 miles of rivers. Some of the largest and closest to the City of Iron River include Brule Lake (250 acres), Chicagon Lake (1,100 acres), and Hagerman Lake (584 acres).

There are dozens of campgrounds within just a short drive of the heart of Iron River. The Iron County Chamber of Commerce has an excellent list of recommended places to camp.

U.P. Championship Rodeo
Iron River is home to the Upper Peninsula Championship Rodeo, held annually in July. The rodeo was established in 1968 and is Michigan’s only PRCA sanctioned rodeo. The Fire Station Cannabis Co. is a proud sponsor of this year’s rodeo.
