Ishpeming’s combination of history, charm, and natural beauty make it a truly captivating small town. Explore historic sites such as the Cliffs Shaft Mine, Carnegie Library, or Ishpeming City Hall, then swing into Ralph’s Italian Deli next to TFS and pick up some of the U.P.’s finest cudighi.

Marquette, Michigan

Within walking distance of TFS, there are dozens of restaurants, local stores,, and local hotspots like the farmers market on Washington Street every Wednesday. Marquette is well-known for its vibrant arts and culture scene, with numerous events and festivals happening throughout the year.

"I want to explore the natural beauty of the U.P., but I'd prefer sights that aren't too far away."

Munising, Michigan

Pictured Rocks and Tahquamenon Falls are great destinations, espeically to take in the fall foliage. There is parking near both and the walk is not far. Featuring a motel/hotel right next door to The Fire Station Munising, you don’t need to go far after a long day!

"I want to see the rugged beauty of the Upper Peninsula, and I don't mind hiking to find it!"

Houghton, Michigan

Some of the best mountain bike trails in the country are found here, and the hiking trails are amazing as well. After stocking up at TFS Houghton, take a ride up to Copper Harbor, and be sure to stop and take in the view at Brockway Mountain lookout. Or stay local with a walk along the canal.

"I want to see a band, go to events, and make memories!"

Hannahville, Michigan

If you’re looking for an all-inclusive events experience in the remoteness of the U.P. that includes convenient, nearby access to cannabis, the Island Resort & Casino is your ticket. Stay in the resort for one of the many concerts, or visit the spa, or championship golf course.

Iron River, Michigan

Nestled deep in the hardwoods of the Upper Peninsula, Iron River features great camping locations and recreation areas. Iron River is the store to visit if you want to light a joint and sit by the campfire with friends.

Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan

Just a short drive from the Mackinac Bridge, TFS Sault Ste. Marie is your first go-to location when you’re traveling north. Perfect as a launching off point to explore the U.P., Sault Ste. Marie also features a lock system that connects Lake Superior to the rest of the Great Lakes!
